Memorial Day
I hope all of you are having a good Memorial Day weekend! Mine has been pretty good so far. I went to a wedding yesterday in Port Royal, VA, which is near Fredericksburg. It took place on an old plantation. There was a beautiful old plantation house and it was located on the Rappahanock river. All in all it was a really pretty wedding. Here are a few pictures from the wedding.

The wedding was definitely fun, but that wasn't all I did this weekend. I also went fishing on Friday, but I didn't catch anything. The place we went fishing was really close to Reddish Knob and so after a couple hours of no luck fishing, we went to Reddish Knob since it was such a pretty day. Reddish Knob is the highest peak in northern Virginia. On a clear day there are great views. It's not too far from JMU, so if you've never been its something you should definitely check out. Here are a few pics from Reddish Knob.

This weekend has worn me out so I'm glad I have today to rest before I'm back to work. I could actually go into work today if I wanted to to get some stuff done, but it's a holiday so I think I'll take the day to relax. Tomorrow I have an all day meeting with Ken who is the guy in charge of the Appalachian Chain Project. I'll show him what I've done and then we'll start organizing documents and working on all that kind of stuff. Then my mom is going to come Wednesday night for a visit and stay a few days. So I actually need to get a lot of my work done so I can spend some time with her. I think that we're going to go to Charlottesville and visit Monticello and some other places like that and do some shopping.
Well I'm going to go enjoy my day off. Have a good Memorial Day!
