Summertime and the Livin's Easy

The weather is so awful outside right now. I'm glad that this past weekend was beautiful! I spent so much time outside this weekend going hiking or to the park or anything else. It is so great that JMU is close to the Shenandoah National Park and Skyline Drive. My roommate and I decided to venture up to Skyline Drive on Sunday to find a hike to go on. We found a 3.3 mile hike to go on which was perfect since it was really hot outside and half of the hike was a steep incline.

Here are some pics from the hike.

After the hike, we drove to the Green Valley Book Fair since we had heard about it and wanted to check it out. It is located off of exit 240 on I-81, so it is not far from here at all. It was amazing how many books they had and how cheap they were! The Green Valley Book Fair has just about every kind of book you can think of. I feel like it was bigger than regular book stores! Also, the books are new, but they cost significantly less than the regular price for the book. We
found a lot of good stuff while we were there but did not have enough time to really look at everything, so we'll probably go back sometime soon!

Last night I went to a boxing class at UREC. It was an hour long class and was a very good workout. I'm sore today! We actually get to wear boxing gloves and punch boxing bags, which is a good way to take out frustrations haha. I think it's so great that we have such a great recreation center to go to and that they have classes we can take for free. All you have to do is sign up for the class online up to 24 hours before it begins and that guarantees you a spot.

Hope y'all are having a great summer!
