Feels Like Fall
First of all, I would like to say that my senior year is going by WAY to fast. It's already October!! It would be great to rewind to this past May so that I could have more time here at JMU. It seems not so long ago that I came here as a freshman and was so homesick that year. I met some great people and had an amazing time, but most of that year I wished I was back at my home in Tennessee. Its amazing how things have changed since then.
So now it's the fall and the temperatures are starting to drop. This past weekend was great weather to run a 5K in though! It was the first 5K I have ever run in, and it was amazing. The race was put on by Phi Kappa Pi, and it was to raise money for multiple sclerosis. I will be running another 5K in two weeks for Hurricane Katrina. All the races take place on JMU's campus. . .which is great if you like running up a lot of hills!
Besides running races, a lot of my thought has been going towards my senior project. We meet weekly with our advisor to discuss the next steps we need to take. Right now we are busy drawing up storyboards for the website we will be developing. Storyboards are simply pictures of what each webpage will look like, such as the colors, the layout of buttons and other stuff. Also, we have to figure out how the website will flow. This means figuring out where the user will be able to go from the homepage and then where they will be able to go from that page and so on. The flow is important to think about so that users of the website will find it easy to use and understand.
This coming weekend is Parents Weekend and so of course there will be a home football game. The Dukes will be taking on the Maine Black Bears. I will definitely be going to the game! It is actually a sold out game and students had to go get their tickets ahead of time. I'm looking forward to it.
Enjoy the rest of the week!
