Rainy weekend
Hello everyone! Hope you had a great weekend! It was our fall break here at JMU and the majority of students left JMU to go home or go on a trip elsewhere. As for me, I was one of the few who actually stayed at school. JMU felt deserted because there were only a few people who I knew that stayed here. All of my roommates left too so I was the only one in the apartment the whole weekend. It was nice at times, but a little lonely as well. However, after the crazy week I had last week with the interviews and tests, I needed a weekend to rest up and do nothing. This weekend gave me plenty of time to catch up on my tv watching, especially since it was rainy and pretty yucky outside the whole time.
Speaking of the interviews, all three went pretty well. It was interesting to see how each company had a different approach to the interview process. One company had a form with 12 standard questions that I was asked. Some of the questions definitely made me think. After that interview I also had to write an essay! That was something I didn't know that you would ever have to do at an interview! The other two interviews were more relaxed and involved more of the interviewer looking at my resume and asking me questions about that. I found this much easier to talk about then answering the 12 questions at the first interview. I also had an opportunity to ask a lot of questions myself at the last two interviews. Those interviews felt more like we were having a conversation as opposed to me being interrogated. I'm glad that I went to all the interviews because it was a great experience, and I'm anxious to find out if I will be called back for a second interview from any of the places. They said it would be about 2-3 weeks before I would hear anything.
By the time all the interviews were over, I was very glad to not have to put on my business suit anymore! I got to wear comfy clothes to go take my Thursday tests in. Those tests went ok I think... I'm just glad they are over! This morning I had yet another test. Finally I think that I will be done with tests for at least a couple of weeks. This will give me time to focus on projects that I need to be working on.
