A common name
If there is one thing I have discovered by doing this blog, it's that I have a very common name! There are a lot of other Ashley Jordan's out there! I guess a lot of people who are named Ashley Jordan have searched their name on Google and have found my blog through that. I've gotten several emails from people saying that they just wanted to say hey because they have the same name as me. Haha... I think it's kinda cool. So here's to all the other people out there that have my name! I know this is kind of random, but I've gotten so many emails about this that I wanted to say something!
Anyway, back to the topic of ISAT. Fortunately, everything is under control with all of my classes, and it seems that the only things standing inbetween me and Thanksgiving break are two papers, a project, and an interview! That doesn't seem too terribly bad. For one of the papers I am still trying to find a topic to write about. It has to be about a telecom issue or controversy that is going on right now. If anyone has any suggestions let me know! The other paper is a project report for the Linux networking project that my group is working on right now. We are in the process of doing the last steps, which involves DNS, DHCP, TCP and a lot of other fun acronyms. After completion, we are required to write a report that tells how we implemented each step and how we verified each step. Hopefully it won't be much harder than the report I had to write for the Windows part of the project. Those papers will certainly keep me busy this weekend.
So I bet you all are wondering if anything ever happened with the interviews that I had about a month ago. Well, I got a call back from one out of the three companies that I interviewed with. All I really wanted was to hear back from one of them! So I will be going back for my second interview with CGI-AMS on December 2. This interview will take place at their office in Fairfax, VA, so it won't be quite as convenient as it was when they came to campus for my first interview. Also, I just had an on-campus interview today with IBM. They actually offered me to come to their office for a second interview at the end of the interview! So I will also be going to Fairfax next week for another interview with IBM. Its all very exciting and scary.
I think thats about all that is going on right now in my life. Have a fabulous weekend!!
